why is air condition air not cool after replacing compressor

How cold is it? The proper way to check is to put the AC on MAX, fan on High, close all of the registers except the center one, keep the engine at 2000 RPM and put a thermometer in the center register. Let it run for at least 2 minutes. Your Condenser may be blocked, thermo-coupler (engine cooling fan clutch) may have failed, your old compressor may have thrown a bunch of trash on the system and blocked the orifice tube, Your evaporator can freeze over, the blend air door motor in the heater case may have failed. Have you hooked up a manifold gauge set to see what the pressures are? Are you using R134a or something else? Get back to us.

AHHHHHHHH.... maybe the compressor wudntha problem. get your money back and go to a reputible shop.

I agree with Tracy on this one. The a.c. system is a unique system and should be repaired or recharged by a qualified technician. Even the slightest dirt or spec of almost anything can contaminate the closed high-pressure a.c. system of a vehicle. Your compressor needs a certain amount of oil to run correctly, oil should be added even if new.(not too much or too little) a certain amount of R-134 coolant to run correctly, (too much can actually lower the temp) absolutely no moisture in the system( don't recharge on a damp or rainy day) and nothing plugged up or even slightly plugged up.(a lot of dirt and/or smog in the air that day) Even the drivebelt should be at a certain tension, not too tight or too loose. There are a lot of variables to deal with. That's why they charge so much to recharge the system at a repair shop. You are supposed to change the dryer everytime you open the system and let air and moisture in. and the system is supposed to be vacuumed to remove any air and/or moisture from the system plus recover any lost coolant from evaporating into the atmosphere. So any one of those senarios could cause your air cond. to not be cold or cold enough... One other thing to remember, there are a lot of rebuilders out there, some good, some bad. Compressors just like starters and alternators are either used, rebuilt, remanufactured or brand new. A rebuilt unit is rebuilt with only the internal parts that are bad or need replacing, then it is put back together and sold as rebuilt. . A remanufactured unit is the original outside casting with all brand new parts inside. A new unit is just that, all brand new. So you get what you pay for and sometimes a rebuilt unit is nothing more than a painted up used one. Always buy remanufactured or brand new when it comes to compressors, alternators, starters, waterpumps, etc. Good Luck, Kenny/ MrBlueOval

Replaced A/C compresser 1 week ago, A/C, then COLD AIR, 1 week later HOT AIR again metal grindings throughout A/C, needs new everything!!
