I am installing a 383 stroker in my truck.What do I need to do,if anything, to set up my comp to run this thing??To tune it??

Are you asking about timing? I'm not sure I know what comp means.

He's probably referring to the computer. OP you may want to run an aftermarket computer. Most factory ECUs can only be programmed to factory presets, if the timing requirements for your stroker fall outside those then you'll need an aftermarket ECU. Check on Summit, Jegs, etc., for those. Some sites online also sell preprogrammed ECUs based on your specs.

BTW just to clarify, you likely can run the factory ECU and program it for the stroker, it will definitely be a custom tune, you might want to try any racing shops around you, if not go with an aftermarket one.

Ken is right. If you want it to run correctly with maximum power and fuel efficiency you probably will need a custom tune.
