Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I bought a '96 Mitsubishi GT 3000 today. I test drove around
the block only due to a small time frame but all was well. It
was a (impulse/desperate need of a vehicle buy) great
price and good looking car. My question is, when I started
driving it back, there was a grinding/screeching noise
coming from what sounded like the driver side front tire
when I was close to 40 mph and above, even on the
highway. It faded out a little when I was going around 80.
Could this be a break issue? Or some type of bearing or
axel thing? Auto shops are closed around me due to the
Covid situation. I can fix whatever it is but just don't want to
spend money on guessing what the problem is. The brake
pedal gives just a hair but that could just be a brake fluid
issue. There's a little vibration in the steering wheel as well,
but it has been sitting for a while before I purchased. I need
some input. Please and thank you!
