You should've received a red card that lists the four digit code for the radio when you bought your car.

Alright, don't worry. What you should do now is look for the serial number of the affected stereo. To look for the serial number, look inside and around your glove compartment for a sticker with the serial number on it. Another way is if you know how, pull the radio out and get the serial # off the back of the radio. Once you find the serial # contact Mitsubishi or the dealer you brought the car from. Give them the following information: VIN, Serial, Phone/Zip code. Then from there they should give you the code. Good luck.
only sticker was for the air bag. A number on the cassett UQ43. I don't have a clue what that is.

Alright. So, since you don't have a sticker with the serial number on it, what you'll need to do is remove the radio like I said and the serial number will be behind the stereo. If you feel uncomfortable doing that, I would suggest you take your car to your local Mitsubishi dealer and tell them to reset your radio. I'm sorry but I tried all the options available. You should do what I just told you, that is the last option I can tell you to do. Good luck.

Oh and by the way, if you decide to take the radio out yourself the serial # will be seen on top of the radio. You will most likely also need the radio model # which is also located on top with the serial number. You'll need to take the radio out for both.
