how do you fill transmission oil in 91 ford ranger

Automatic? Through the dipstick tube. Manual, there is a plug on the SIDE of the gearbox, fill with gear oil until it begins to come back out. the hole with the plug is the full level. To make it much easier, use a hand pump.
