How do I tell what's wrong with my front end

Asked by David Jun 20, 2020 at 11:58 PM about the 2005 Nissan Maxima

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

how do I tell if the bearings in my
front end or bad the boot is
broken and you can see inside

If the rubber boot on the CV axle is ripped, and it has for some time, dirt has gotten in the joint and there is no grease, you will get noises. Replace the CV axle. A mechanic can inspect the bearing at the same time. But I would replace the axle first.
