Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have an 05 pathfinder and just recently i have been getting this vibration/ripple affect starting at about 40mph and up. You know, like driving over ripples on the side of a road to warn you that your off the road. Does anyone know what it is?

It may not be this but be on the lookout for common Nissan problem with the 05-07 frontier, pathfinder, Xterra. Check water in radiator and transmission fluid, make sure that the transmission cooler inside the radiator did not break and is leaking water into the transmission cooling lines causing transmission to start to fail and cause a rippling feeling while driving (beginning symptom). You will not get any codes at the beginning; but then the transmission seals and components have been ruined by the antifreeze mixed with transmission fluid, It will finally be giving you a transmission failure code. The final result could be the total failure of the transmission. You will definitely need to replace your radiator and most likely rebuilt the transmission. Could cause car to fail on the road as to not switch gears and leave you stranded. Nissan should have a recall for this as many Nissan owners are experiencing this problem. Could be a safety issue.
I had this issued it turned out to be a broken yoke on the rear drive shaft. this is covered under an extended warranty if yo have one.
I had the same problem, I changed the cross shaft on the rear and that solved the problem.
