Nissan Pathfinder 2005 loses power

Asked by samppakp Jan 19, 2014 at 03:24 AM about the 2005 Nissan Pathfinder

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2005 Pathfinder with automatic transmission. The problem is that sometimes
when the car is standing still with the motor running (Parking gear or Driving gear, no
difference) the car loses power and the 4WD light goes on. After this happens the car will
move forward but very slowly. After cutting off the ignition and restarting the car is back to
normal. What could be causing this?

Bad mass air flow sensor, fuel pump or swirl valve in the intake runner. Have it checked for codes. Maybe it has set some in memory but no light.
