Pathfinder 02 oil level keeps going down.no oil burning, nor leaks - confused. last 2 years, changed oil every 5000 kms. 6 months ago added gas tank additives. could this have burned out seals???

In general a ll cars are burning oil , my 2001 Pathfinder does too with only 120000 miles on it in perfect condition . Just check your oil level every weekend that's all . Or buy a plug in hybrid , and of the story . I am considering a Toyota Prius V five 42 mpg vs. 18 from the Pathfinder

change the oil cooler seal(gasket) behind the oil filter housing changed it is notorious on muranos
