2002 nissan xterra

My 02 xterra was running ok one day then stopped
on me wouldn't start back up let it sit for a day
went and tried it and it started then kept doing this
same thing for weeks would only start once a day
not it won't start at all battery was fine wasnt
alternator just replaced timing chain someone said
knock sensor but I checked up on it a knock sensor
wouldn't stop it from starting any suggestions oht
there on what the problem could be I'm a single
mother of 5 and need my vehicle

Same here don't know where to start. Probably with fuel. Then timing

Where is the crank sensor. We are having same problem. Put new distributor on it. Quit on us now won't fire

Had the same problem.changed evap canister, fuel pump fuel injector crankshaft position sensor has tank and still can't figure out what is wrong. Any suggestions?

30 years master technition that can lead you in the right direction. If it just flat died on you I would check all fuses first and if you have the little black book in the glove box it will show you what to look for. If all fuses are good then probably a crankshaft position sensor or a camshaft position sensor went bad. A scant tool to access the onboard data port 2 will allow you to see what the computers have to say. Like engine codes. They store info when things go haywire. These are the first things I'd check at my work if your vehicle had been towed in .
