dash lights on,battery fully charged turn the key and nothing, no clicking, nothing. I am a woman and need help

out shopping, stopped and started three times, at last stop, the key turned on, dash lights on and nothing...noclicking etc.  A kind soul with battery cables hooked me upm turned key and nothing.Car battery is relatively new and fully charged.Can anyone out there help me and tellme what`s wrong
my car is a 2002 lexux es300.....help

Try a couple of things. Put the transmission in neutral and try that. Or, with your foot on the brake, try "jiggling" the gear shift in park as you turn the key. It's sounds like the neutral cut off switch is defective.
