My husband used his truck to jump start our daughters car and now his truck won't start. It will turnover but not come one...The lights work and it tries to start but only attempts to turn over.

It sounds like it's trying to turn on but doesn't quite get there.

You need to know the batt condition first. Stop: 12.00 to 12.35 volts Cranking: 10.80 to 11.50 volts Run: 13.80 to 14.50 volts whit out loads In spec : batt good, out of spec : batt bad or charging system bad.
