Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Hi,
I have a 1992 LS 400. The breaks are completely worn out. Its time to replace them with new ones. Its too expensive to go to the dealer. Can anyone guide me thru the steps how to manually replace the front and rear break pads and routers.

Howdy Bud! After I bought my 91 LS400, the brakes were one of the first things I tackled. Their isn't really anything special about them, just your general run of the mill disk brakes. The link below is a wealth of information regarding everything LS400, including the brakes. He offers detailed pictures and walk-throughs for most maintenance work. http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/brake/ Cheers & Good Luck, Travis
are your rotors really that bad? mine are slightly... warped. so they vibrate a little bit, but the pads themselves are an easy job. i did mine in a parking lot with a small jackstand and sockets. http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/brake/rbpad.html
why the front of the car lower than the rear, (the rear tilted up) hen parks. Thank you.
