Why is my battery getting drained?

Asked by GuruR61CD Feb 15, 2020 at 02:57 PM about the 1999 Lexus SC

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Does the radio in a 1999 SC300 automatically shut off when the ignition is
turned off?  I've had a dead battery 2 times (battery is new) and wondered if
it's the radio that's causing the problem.  I've only had the car for a few weeks
and I don't have a manual

A parasitic draw needs to be diagnosed one electrical circuit at a time. Check out youtube on how to do it yourself.
