Fuel economy

Asked by Blackbear2001 May 08, 2015 at 10:47 PM about the 1999 Nissan Pathfinder

Question type: General

Why are later model Pathfinders so much more economical than 1999 model. I'm a careful
driver when it comes to fuel savings, but just can't improve fuel economy on this vehicle. I
live in Australia where fuel costs are substantially higher than in USA. Can you suggest
any modifications to this vehicle to improve fuel consumption ? The vehicle is an
automatic! TI model.

Just the regular, plug,s ,wire,s and air filter, correct tire inflation, and not much more can be done, but i will say this, the higher the mileage on the truck will decrease gas mileage, because of internal engine wear.
