Car overheating

I have a 99 Nissan Sentra. It overheated and
quit running on me one day. Power steering
went out too. I towed it home to work on it. It
started back up and power steering worked
again but still overheated so I replaced the
water pump which was not in good shape
and also the belts while I was at it. Drove it
around and it was still overheating and I
realized neither fan was kicking on. Checked
the relays and they were fine. Replaced both
fans and they kick on now, but it is still
overheating. Any ideas?

Have not tried the thermostat. The hoses all seem fine. Haven’t checked the cap or sensor either. Thought I had it pegged with the water pump because the pulley was rattling too. After I replaced the pump, I thought I had it figured out when the fans wouldn’t come on so thought that was my issue. All work fine now though. No rattling, both new fans come on. I’m just worried about it being a head gasket and putting more money into it then I already have for a car that’s 20 years old. Is there two thermostats since there are two fans?
