Easiest way to lower the rear is to get the rear axle/ spring assembly from any 91-2001 explorer, that will give you a 2" drop. Front, you will have to rely on lowering springs.
have u tried the dream beams from djm?
you could switch your leaf springs from on top of your axel to the bottom (an axel flip) and that'll drop er about 2.5-3 inches and you get could buy spring compressors at any auto store to drop the front a couple inches. that'll only cost about 15 bucks. wont roughen anything up too much
when you do that, your suspension becomes extremly weak though. those u bolts are designed to hold the axle under the leaf, rather than have all the trucks wieght on them, thats why an actual flip kit is better; bigger u bolts, stronger, etc. you never mentioned how the front gets lowered for $15
get a lmc truck issue they have kits for lowering rangers there free just go on lmc truck.com
DO NOT USE DREAM BEAMS THEY ARE SHIT. THEY ARE A ROUND I-BEAM, THEY ARE CALLED A I-BEAM FOR A REASON NOT A O-BEAM! SPEND THE MONEY AND GET LOWERING I-BEAMS TO DO IT RIGHT

get a set of leaf perches and them under the axle and put your leafs under that. its called flipping the axle.you will get a 2-4 inch drop in the back.because of this youll get a nicer ride, similar to an s-10. match the front with a drop kit and youre fine. dont mess with the coils.
just get a notch kit for your truck, then you can lay frame easier. candospecialties.com is where i go
