Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The autoparts store test the TFI module and said it was good, but I ran out of thermal
compound when I put it back on, would this maybe cause it to die and not start. seems
after a few hours it starts again but the same thing happens

your ranger starting a dieing and smells like gas there might be a simple fix to it. for one the only smell like gas if they are getting to much is it smelling like gas coming out the back or out from under the hood. my idea is that and this is a pretty simple on that he gas is the problem. if you are getting to much the engine is choking out and there for it sounds like the fuel presure regulator is bad. this would be the chepest way to go to see if this is the problem and from the sound of it, it is.
