Check the brake switch located under the dash, attached to the brake arm lever. Sounds like the plunger is stuck inside the switch due to age. When you use the brake to "park" your auto, the plunger work correctly to turn the lights out when you let off the brake pedal.

Sorry can't drink coffee and type at the same time. Check the brake light activation switch located under the dash, attached to the brake pedal lever arm. Sounds like the plunger or the connectors inside the switch are broken due to age of the switch. When you use the brake to "park" your auto, applying the brakes activates the brake lights thru the brake light activation switch being compressed or released (depending on orientation) and when you lift your foot off the pedal, the switch is not "releasing" which would turn the brake lights off.
you have a rubber stopper on your brake switch it gets worn out ,that stopper is the one that activates your switch on and off you need to go to the nissan dealer and get it.it cost arund 3 dollars.
