Car dies while driving

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1998 Olds Intrigue thats drains the battery while I'm driving. The starter,
alternator, and battery don't seem to be the problem, it will start if jumped but drains the
battery very quickly it will also drain every time if I don't disconnect it. My best guess is a
ground but I don't know where to look. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks Rita

Go get your alternator and battery checked ...you can't tell by looking at it

If vehicle starts with a boost and dies from low voltage then it is not charging. If 14.4 volts are not present at battery at idle then vehicle is not charging.(the battery) Check large red wire on back of alternator for system voltage and smaller plug terminal as well. If voltage present and alternator case has good ground then unit is defective. As far as parasitic drain you have , will advise later.
