My 99 Plymouth breeze 2.0 litter was running just fine then just shut off while I was driving couldn't do anything to stop it from rolling backwards finally got it stopped and now it will not start

My car will not start now and the fuel bump kicks on and the car trys to turn
over but will not exceed any ideas what it could be??

If you mean start, try spraying some staring fluid in the air intake to see if it fires off. If so check fuel pump pressure. Fuel pump may not be putting out the rated pressure.
