2005 grand prix need a good set of brakes

Asked by Daniel Oct 08, 2010 at 12:59 PM about the 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ive had this car for a while and whenever i replace the brakes there fine for a while. Then they start warping and it happens with every set I buy. The stock set up clearly doesn't cut it on this car and i need something that can hold up to north Jersey commuting every day without warping on me. Preferably something that is a direct replacement with a warranty offer, not an after market race job with 6 piston calipers and no warranty.

buy yourself a set of slotted vented rotors for the front. im guessing your rears are fine right? leave the calipers alone. stock should be fine. this should prevent any future warping and is an easy swap to do by yourself with a simple set of tools

Slotted Rotors for sure stronger than cross drilled but run cooler than stock just make sure the slots are in the right direction
