Car won’t start after sitting over night

Asked by Marinewife0707 Jun 16, 2019 at 04:25 PM about the 2004 Pontiac Grand Am

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2004 Pontiac Grand Am won’t start for a
couple hours after it sits over night. Once I can get
it to start then it runs just fine and doesn’t have a
problem again until the next morning after it sits
overnight.

The only time I smell gasoline is after I fill up the tank. Would that cause the car to crank but not start up?
