Grand am won’t start

I had this problem it was the security system. The security light was blinking in the ACC position. So we put it in the ACC position and watched the security light blink for about 12 minutes, then it will go solid and the security light will shut off. After that turn the car off and try to start it. Worked for my Grand Am

SECURITY SYSTEM PROBLEM IVE BEEN SILLY TO OWN 4 GRAND AM AND ALERO THEY ALL HAVE THIS PROBLEM

Possible VATS/Passlock problem.
