The tach goes to zero because the engine "cut out". When ir registers again, it is because the car is running. Are you describing a problem where the engine stops and then re-starts while driving?
What's wrong with a 2008 grand prize when the rpm gauge brop down and car cut of while driving but it starts back up.
This doesn't happen all the time, just a fter the car has been running for 30 minutes or so.
