how can i fix my 2003 pontiac vibe A/C?

I already took it to a mechanic they charged so much i figured it wud be really good but it stopped working again and it sucks because its so hot right now so I'm trying to review it by myself before I take it

perform a leak down test first. check the compressor to make sure its functioning properly. charge the system. if you ust had a charge done and it stopped working again im guessing you have a leak.

a/c repairs should be left to professionals. it can be very dangerous.

My Freon was fine, just wasn't blowing so I ended up replacing my blower and resistor and the cabin filter and I think if I had just done the filter last year when it wasn't cooling good it wouldn't of burned up the blower. So live and learn. Also search the net for how to replace (its easy on all 3 items) and you can find much cheaper prices on net than the auto store...

try A/C recharge kit, but depends on issue, maybe mechanic best bet, depending on knowledge
