inside the dash behind the glovebox...honesty you should look at the battery ground as is connected to the rest of the car...this point (end of the 1/0 cable) is critical...welds itself with each start as it pulls over 300 cold cranking amps to start the engine...sadly they couple the needs of the ignition, fuel pump and dashboard, ECU----ON this leg of your ground from the battery~...use a wirebrush on the end of the 1/0 cable as it attaches to the frame/fender...thank you~

Get a New battery if yours is older than five years old (knock-off labels on top of battery)...with a clean, wirebrushed GROUND connection the ECU (and a new battery) will act normally then~
Hi I believe I have a issue with Ecm on my 2001 Pontiac grand am, have 3 codes p0341 p1404 and p0440 These other codes came up when I put it on a code scanner besides the 3 above. C1254, c1247,c1241, p1189 , u1040 c1221 c1222 c1225 and c1226. So I was told that my speed sensors where ok, I was told with all these codes it has to be the Ecm to replace first. Any thoughts. I just need to pass emissions at this point what should I do?
