Running out of gas these days is not good, hard on the fuel pump. You should have probably 5 gal. or more in the tank. You probably are going to have to change the fuel filter and check fuel pressure with a fuel pressure gage to see if the fuel pump is putting out the proper pressure.

How do I check those things. And is there any other options to get it started.?

All you can do is try to start it, try cycling the key on/off slowly a few times before trying to start, if not, have to tow it somewhere to get fixed.

If you are parked on a slope then a gallon or two of gas may not be enough to get to the fuel pump. Put more gas in and see if it starts.

So if these things don't work then fuel pump. I just replaced fuel pump few months back
