Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a 1997 Pontiac grand am and I jus had the
starter battery and alternator repaired and the car
started up just fine but there's a black wire
hanging and I'm thinking it wasn't connected back
to the starter and like I said it started jus fine I got
in the car and went to a few stores and now it
won't start all my lights on the car is still working
not showing any problems on the dash so what
could it be when I just replaced everything
including the connects on the battery please help

Sounds like that wire has something to do with it. May have come loose from its connection on the starter. Who ever put it in would know where it goes.
That's the problem the person that put it in won't fix it so I had someone else look at it an the was like he missed a wire but he's not sure where its suppose to go we Google how the wires suppose 2 look and connect and it don't show it coming from it but we know that it connects somewhere because it was clipped
I see,, look around for the same color wire, gotta be there. The wire you see is it from the starter. or hanging down by the starter.?
Its actually hanging with other wires but they are connected but the black wire is disconnecting from the middle pointing in another direction like it could be the ground wire or something
No ground wire connects to the starter. I don't know here, try taking that clipped wire and move it to different positions to see maybe where it might hook up. This is hard, one of those things that I myself would have to look at. So many cars, so many wires to remember.
Oh OK thank yo I'll have him check the connections
