V6

Question type: Car Customization
I have a '96 Firebird, thats rite just Firebird, not Trans, meaning it only has a 6 cylinder. I know I know get an 8, and someday I will. Besides I like a good challenge of making a 6 cyclinder smoke an 8 cylinder. Anyways, does anyone know where I could find either a turbo or supercharger for a V6?? I've been lookin for awhile and came up empty so far.

Nothing wrong with a v6. There is a video on youtube of a White or Silver v6 firebird that runs a qr mile in 8 seconds. I think a twin turbo firebird could beat LT1s. I own a v6 firebird myself and I'm happy with it!
thanks dude...do u have a turbo for yours?? if not do u know what companies make em for 6's??
No, if i had any extra cash, i would try to make my bird the fastest i can. A supercharger wont fit in ur firebird. I would just look up on google for some turbo.
Supercharger/turbocharger kits usually cost in the vicinity of $3000-$4000...and that will prob net you around the same as a stock LT1 maybe a little more. If you want speed, you could just sell your car, put that and the $3000-$4000 and buy yourself an LS1 car, and have some money left over. The v6's are nice...but not near as economical to make fast.

My buddy and I came up with the idea to put a 3.8 V6 in my 1993 Firebird. I'm not sure if it would fit or not, I have a 1997 GTP, I was thinking about getting a 3.8 out of a newer Firebird and putting a supercharger from a GTP or Buick Regal GS on it.
