yes but usually will throw a check engine light. if its a lt1 the opti could be going too.
hey steven. i played with the coil and i pulled a plug and touched it on metal and turned it over and no spark. i got no spark out of the coil either. is it hard or costly to replace the opti? i have someone wanting to buy for $4000.00 but need to figure why its not running again. thank u very much steven. call me if u want 563-499-8163
I had a 94 z28 and the fuel pump was doing exactly what your saying. It was a crap shoot when I went to start it. I replaced it and the no start prob went away.
well if the coil is not firing right replace it first if the coil isending spark to the opti but the opti is not sending to the plug replace it. you have to remove the water pump to replace the opti. it would be a could idea to replace the water pump at the same time. when reinstalling it is possible to install it 180 degrees off. I play with these cars all the time. the opti was the down fall of these motors.
im going to replace the opti this morning. hope it all goes well. thank u steve and hope u have a good day.
