2008 Saturn Vue( without a sunroof ) leak located! Living in Jacksonville Fl and we have had daily rain for about a month now. This of course lead to water intrusion into the floorboard areas. I took out the front and back seats out completely (8 or 9, 10mm bolts). I removed the carpet and let everything dry in the sun for 24 hrs. Once completely dried, I sat inside the vehicle with a flashlight while a second person poured water out of a garden hose on top of and all around the vehicle for about 15 minutes with no leaks. We then decided to open the front hood and pour the water along the front of the fire wall starting on the passenger side and working our way towards the driver side. This is when I started to notice a small drip coming down from the hood latch release cable rubber grommet (the cable runs through the fire wall grommet and attaches to the hood release). I grabbed the cable and shook it lightly side to side while the water was still pouring over it which allowed more water to enter at a faster rate. The grommet does not have a snug water tight fit and Its my opinion that while driving in rainy conditions on a daily basis that water does in fact enter through this opening. I have sealed both sides of the grommet (engine compartment and interior) using automotive silicone from the local auto parts store, make sure it dries for 24 hrs. I then put everything back together and tested again, No Leaks!! Hope this helps.

I have a 2009 Saturn Vue and it seems to leak on drivers side. Back floor board will be wet. And aometimes the front floorboard. In the back under the spare tire that compartment will stand full.and run up through the back floorboard and into the front floorboard. We once pourd water down the seam of the hatch and it leaked around the tail light. We tightened it up good but still coming in from somewhere!?! Please help. My windows will have moisture on them in the mornings.

Ok, found the culprit. Under the steering wheel and the hood release, you will have to remove the the trim around it. There is a small hole that lets water in and will leak under the driver's floorboards and because of the foam will go underneath the console to the passenger side. You can RTV the hole that stops one. Water test done, no leak in the front, however found another leak where water is coming into the spare tire. The house ran for maybe 2 seconds top while I sat where the back seat anchors and water was coming in fast to the trunk of the vehicle. Luckily my husband took everything out, foam, trim seats everything to get it cleaned and dry. We found a vent on the driver's side rear under the trim of the tail light where the rubber has shrunk and the water is bypassing that vent to the another passage right into the area under the spare tire. But you will have to remove the taillights and the bumper and all outside trim to find it. My husband is going to clean all dirt and road grime from around the vent and RTV that little vent back in. Hope this helps, lots of work and frustration but cheaper than a car payment.

Hole under steering wheel, you will have to move wires to find it.

For the rear leaks, check the rubber seal around the rear window wiper shaft that goes thru the glass. On mine, the rubber was not making good contact with the glass and allowing water to come into the rear hatch. It then runs down inside the hatch an ends up under the spare tire. It can then run forward under the rear seat. I put silicone adhesive/sealer under the grommet. A putty knife will lift it out of the way, but still messy.
