Can I get my ignition replaced?

My saturn vue 2002s key was struck in the ignation,
causing my boyfriend "handyman" to take apart the ignition.
The key finally came out to witch has been lost since then.
I'm now finding out that saturn vue 2002 has had a recall on
their igintions could I gain from this recall

Call an automobile locksmith and tell them about the mess you made. Recalls don't cover destroying your own ignition switch.
