Engine, fuel, throttle?

Asked by joseph Apr 07, 2017 at 02:21 PM about the 2000 Subaru Outback

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2000 Subaru outback will start and run but
when I press the throttle it chokes. If I feather it  it
will Rev up the RPM s but every time you let off the
gas it has the same problem and it seems to be
getting worse do you have any idea what this is?

1 Answer

It will be the manifold pressure sensor in top of the manifold, its held in by 2 bolts. The part is easy to change but it's expensive. It's important to reset the engine ecu after replacement. Picture attached is of the part you need (turned upside down)
