1998 Forester Sways badly on slushy snowy roads.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Just changed rear crossmember and rear drivers side CV axle. All bushings look good and sway bar links are pretty new. Any clues why the car goes nuts when on snowy slushy roads but is fine on smooth pavement? Jumpy when I hit bumps also.

Well I'm not sure but I had a couple rear bushings replaced on my 06 Outback sedan and it made a big difference. It too was beginning to feel like it would go anywhere. Good luck.
I would assume you've checked your tire pressures right?
Did you get the car aligned after the rear end work?

Yes tire pressures are all good. The car is in the shop as we speak for a 4 wheel alignment. Hopefully that fixes the problem. Thanks
