Car wont accelerate

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Good day. I have a Toyota camry sportivo 03.
Couole of months back it started playing up. My
car wint accelerate all together. The Rpm wont go
beyond 2000. It did few times. But would run
perfectly after that. Yesterday it did same again on
highway, but this time I kept driving @10kmph.
Finally I gave up and had to get my car towed.
Have anyone had same issue. My mechanic cant
figure out what is wrong with it.
Any help will be appreciated.

Any warning lights ON or Flashing when the Engine runs?
Its Toyota Camry sportivo 2003. No warning lights mate.
My guess......Throttle Body Malfunction. Really need a Scan Tool to start the diagnosis. Absent said tool...not much advice I can offer.
One other thought....do you have Auto Parts Store in you part of the world ...who will plug into their Scanner for FREE?
dev...anything new concerning this vehicle?
Just a couple of thoughts. Catalytic converter clogged, if it has a throttle cable check it for proper adjustment. Unhook your negative battery cable for a couple of minutes then hook back up. This can reset the computer. good luck.
