I just replaced the rear shoes on my 03 double cab and the new shoes do not have provisions for the auto adjustor mechanism i.e. no pin or hole for the adjustor. Are these the wrong shoes or did they do away with this feature?

Sounds like you got the wrong shoes -- even if they did away with the feature later, your vehicle's proper shoes should still have it, since you have it on your vehicle.
