The fins on my radiator on 2001 model appear to bequite corroded/damaged, would it be wise to replace radiator, and if so is it a big job?

If the outside of the radiator looks bad, imagine what the inside must look like! It might be a good idea to replace the radiator, since the cooling fins are what really helps to cool the fluid moving through it. Removing and replacing the radiator is typically not a large job, as often times as few as 4 bolts hold it in place. However, there are other hoses and connectors which need to be removed. You are likely looking at at least 2 hours of downtime for the vehicle while you fix it. If you are not experienced you may wish to consult a professional to have them do the job.

thanks for taking the time to answer, but I was thinking more along the lines of what trim etc.. needs to be removed before the easy part of removal and refitting of the actual radiator.
