95 Toyota Camry wont start after turning off car

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
My 95 Toyota Camry has been running fine
with no issues. Gas is always at half a tank
or more never let it reach empty. After
driving my car for a short or long distance
and I turn off the car, I attempt to restart it
and it cranks but doesnt start. I let it sit for
about 30-40 mins and it starts with no
problem. Checked battery and it is fine. Not
sure what the issue is but would love advise
on what could be the issue. Have
researched and see several issues with an
ignition coil. Could this possibly be the
issue?

Ignition coils have been know to stop working when it gets hot and will start again once it has cooled down. The thing is to catch it when it does it then check for spark.

Ok. I will check for a spark next time it happens. And to do this.......??

Not being smart but if you have to ask it is best that you get someone that a little mechanically inclined to do the test.

No offense taken. I think I agree with you and will have someone test for a spark the next time it happens. Thanks so much for the advise
