What kind of oil does the engine take?

First of all, if you have a manual, you should check that to see what it recommends. If you don't have that, a synthetic oil is recommended because it is more durable and is good for starting up in cold weather. Uusually 10W30 grade is suggested, although some feel that 5W30 is fine, especially in the winter.

a 10-30 in the summer and a 5-30 in the winter would be my suggestion some people suggest a synthetic and some people suggest just a regular motor oil but they now have a combination of the two mixed together it really is just what the oil is made out of that makes the difference
