Truck shimmies when applying brake. Mechamic says it is the rear suspension. what does that entail?

Hi fattim, Normally a braking issue like this is caused by either the drums/discs being warped in some fashion or the incorrect pads being used for the vehicle. It can be remedied by turning or replacing the warped drum/disc and/or installing the correct pads for the vehicle. Other problems that could cause this symptom are worn/broken shocks, worn axle bearings or even bleeding the breaks. Thanks for your question on CarGurus.com.
