TST could be correct. But first I would suspect some form of "dieseling" . 1-Could be carbon build up on the cylinder heads-Could be from too much stop an go driving and/or bad fuel--try a 20-30 mile drive on the highway to burn off any carbon, also try a fuel additive to help clean your injectors. 2-A vacuum leak in some hoses or broken/ missing bolt on the intake manifold. This may cause a running rich condition causing the engine to run HOT,leading to carbon build up --listen and look for any cracked, loose vacuum hoses;correct any found.
