Question type: Maintenance & Repair

How hard is it to replace the high beam switch. It goes into high when you make a right turn signal.  Joe

I have no experience with the Tercel, but the way most of them are designed, you have to pull the steering wheel and the trim around it, then you'd remove the old turn signal / high beam switch and install a new one. The tricky part is making sure you get everything put back together the same way it came apart. If you're mechanically inclined, this can be a DIY job, but if you're not comfortable with taking apart the steering column, I'd take it to a mechanic. Also, if the car has an airbag, then I would definitely take it to a mechanic.

not hard at all just have to take off the cover for the steering wheel and the plastic panel around the gages but the its a tight squeeze to unscrew it but you can quick fix it with zip ties, but make sure its a strong zip tie as its lots of wear and tear.
