Is a Iroc Camaro gas efficient?
My dad has an old bright red 80's Iroc
Camaro. She hasn't been started up since
2015. I'm currently fixing her up with my
dad. I'm 16, this car will be mine in a few
months. Is it gas efficient? Would it be
smart to drive? Should I wait a few years?

I would bet you could get in the low 20's out on the highway provided the car is in good shape. Not so good around town.
Drive it and enjoy it. Who cars about MPG when you'll be the coolest dude on the block.
These cars were iconic! Everybody who could afford one had one! A fuel injection system is more efficient than a carburetor. But as any vehicle ages it becomes less efficient. Parts wear and just don't work as well as they did when they were new! If you keep it properly maintained and drive it sensibly your gas mileage will rival vehicles much newer! By the time the late 80s rolled around people were absolutely concerned with gas mileage. I remember during that time period when I had my 78 Cadillac Eldorado, which got about 8 MPG around town, it cost me $36.00 to fill up from empty with premium! That was an awful price! But I was working after school and I had the best car in the student parking lot so I didn't care! You shouldn't either! Drive it and enjoy it as TDolby said. You'll absolutely have the coolest car in your student parking lot!! Hope that helps! Jim
