vin information

Asked by Rhallam Jun 16, 2007 at 06:35 PM about the 1968 Chevrolet Camaro

Question type: General

I have found a 1968 Camaro, which I am told is an SS.  The VIN # is 124378L329661.  When checking the VIN the website tells me there should be 17 characters in the VIN, but in checking, I find that VIN's only had 13 characters in 1968.

What I want to know is this truly an SS?  How do I ensue that it is?

Try this site. http://decodethis.com/ Its better to search for "classic car vin decoder" because it will allow you to use your 13 digit VIN instead of the newer 17 digits.
