Were any 68 camaro RS/SS produced with a 327 engine. SS should be 350+ right?

No. 1968 Camaro Engine options were a 230-cid 6 (3.8L), a 302-cid 8 (5.0L) and in the SS/Z28 a 396-cid 8.

The real answer is 302's were only designated for the limited # of Z-28's. SS cars came with either 350's ( 295 hp) and 396's ( I believe 325, 350 and 375 hp). The 327 was available in any other camaro. A great find is an l-30 / M20 car with 327 /275 hp and M20 four speed combo.
396 also had an alu.inum head 425 hp in 1968
Yes they did I had one purchased new from Chevy dealer in Goshen, Indiana. Also had 3 speed on the column.

Back in the '70's I owned a '68 RS with 327 (275HP),4 barrel rochester carburetor, 4 speed (think it was Muncie shifter), Hide-away headlights. Also had full factory gauges. It was a medium steely blue. Loved that car. I actually dream about it occasionally!
I owned 2 327 '68 Camaros. One a 3 Speed manual and the other an automatic
Neighbors of ours back in the late 70's, had a 1968 Chevy Camaro Convertible, non SS, with a 350 V8, auto..they lived in Michigan at that time and where good friends with Plant manager at the assembly plant, they watched as the car was being built on the assembly line, when it came time for the engine install, the manager said give them the 350 V8 engine, when our local Chevy Dealer was servicing it, they said this Camaro should not have come with this engine? My Dad was offered to buy the car in the early 80's but declined, somebody else bought it and wrapped it around a tree a few years later, if anybody can shed some light on this let me know, a case of not what you know, but who you know
I STILL OWN MY PARENTS 67-68 CAMARO 327CI 275HP 2 SPEED AUTOMATIC,,,, THOUGHT ABOUT MAKING IT ELECTRIC

In 1983 I bought a 1968 Camaro with a 327 cubic inch engine. I remember being told it had a Holley Economizer carburetor. It had a two-speed power glide transmission. It was Autumn Firemist Metallic (a red burgundy color) with a black vinyl roof. I recall the manual saying it could be 275 or 325 horsepower. I had the engine rebuilt when it blew. They had to bore out the cylinders. I don't know the horsepower, but it was pretty fast. That was my favorite car that I ever owned. A lady ran a red light and it was totaled out in 1990. I got beat up in that accident and recoved, but I miss that car. It was sad not having it anymore!

I currently own a 1968 convertible Camaro with a 327 and three speed manual on the floor. All matching numbers and original paperwork along with the window sticker and bill of sale.
