What was the original price of my 1968 Camaro convertible

It depends on the factory equipment. Automatic transmission? Power steering? AM/FM 8 track? Engine size....... There are allot of variables.
As I recall, there were lots of options back. The RS & SS were, and still are, to die for. Oh those were the days............:-)
Base Corvette was in the mid $4500 range with A/C and power windows. The 427 option got it up $2000 with the right order, the L-88 with racing options. The are now in the $125,000 and up a lot higher if it is all original.
I could have bought 68 Camaro Convertible in Vietnam March 68' to be delivered to a local dealer (if or when) I got home for $3,100. There were no military discounts at that time. The guys talked me out of it because it could be a bad omen.
If you had bought the 68 Camaro, and still had it as I do have my 69 Corvette, your omen would be a good one.
