jerk in shifting

My 2007 ranger is jerking from a stop to 20 mph just had the transmission
flushed.the engine light is on with a MAS code replaced that sensor also. what
could be the problem that is causing the transmission to jerk from stop to
20mph?

engine is not running smooth so transmission get's confused.Have the codes read and repair that issue first. then see what trans. does.
