It's either the alternator or the battery. Get the truck started again and put a volt meter on the hot side of your alternator. You should be getting at least 14 volts or more. If you are getting a good reading on the alternator, then I would suspect the battery is shot. If you have no access to a volt meter, go to your local Autozone or parts store and they will check it for you.
Check your battery voltage with a multi-meter. If it is less than 12 volts, try charging it with battery charger to see if it comes back to over 12 volts. I suggest if the battery is very low, do not jump start the car and hope the alternator will charge up the battery, you can destroy the alternator as it has electronic components in them which can be burned up. The alternator is meant to keep the battery charged, not charge a low battery.
Started after 20 mins then dash, lights wipers all died while driving. Now it won't turn over at all. Alternator issue is my guess but hoping not. Other suggestions?
