purchased old 2006 Ford F150 173,000 with a small oil leak garage guy said from the seals - he cleaned changed oil (after seeing 1/4 quart in engine) collected $724 from me and now the truck pours oil
He said that the engine is shot now. really?
Your question is not clear- check to see where the oil is pouring from- if it is a front or rear seal, that does not mean that your engine is "shot" however, if you ran it short of oil, you might have blown the engine- this "mechanic" you refer to should have been able to tell you the state of affairs BEFORE he soaked you for the seven bills-
He said that the engine is shot now. really?
